Work Friendly Reading

I found a really funny site that's work friendly, too. Behold, the Acts of Gord. Makes me fully appreciate the fact that I don't have to work with the general public. I'm always scoping out new sites to peruse that are work friendly, any other recommendations?

Extended Game Day

Do we want to do an extended gameday at our place on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

We can start at 10am with playstation, someone can bring an xbox if they'd like, board games, whatever. Then for anyone that doesn't want to show up that early start DnD at 1pm and play till we are ready to quit or midnight...whichever happens first.

Thoughts?

WE'RE IN!

Fellhammer and Allesia- we have the 3:12 True Dungeon: Battle Atop Castle Greyhawk booked. Ya-Hoo! It should last 2 hours and we need to be there at least 15 minutes early so plan accordingly. We'll have to talk about getting our equipment disks ordered.
Loki and Malikar- We have our psychic investigation (10am 3hrs) and Burn in Hell (6pm 2hrs) booked too.
I am sooooo glad to have that done and to not have to wait in line for anything this year. At least I certainly hope not.

D.L.

The XP is coming, the XP is coming!

For everyone who was at D&D this past Friday you each earned 880XP. I know it's not a ton but it was a good time. And isn't that really the point? It is too, Loki.

Sending Fell at GenCon Servers

Time to send in a +1 dwarven war axe at the GenCon events registration servers. I've been trying to log in for 2 hours >.<

GenCon--Schweet!

GenCon Event registration starts today at noon Pacific Standard Time - no clue what time that is in Indiana, lol! As you can tell by my pic above, I'm ready for some True Dungeon and new ccgs and rpgs! Though I do feel more like this irl this morning, long weekend...

If you need to see what you'd look like as a South Park like I did, the cartoon generator is found at the Planearium.

Can we get our XP?

Dear Death Lord, sir,
I know you are very busy thinking of ways to kill us and stuff, but I'm kind of anxious to know how much XP we got last week. I think the Dwarf and I are going to be pretty close to leveling up. Please advise at your earliest convenience.

Thank You,
Loki

I want to be cool too!

How do you guys put the links in? How is everyone learning all of this about using the blog? Is there a help file? Or do you guys just know so much about websites that using the blog is easy?

Figurine Finder

To all who are looking for figurines for their new characters:

Many of the pewter figurines sold at the sites we've been looking at are made by Reaper Minis and on their website is a figurine finder that you can use to narrow down your figurine search by sex, weapon type, armor type, race etc.

http://www.reapermini.com/?nav=Models&sub=Fantasy%20Fig%20Finder

Pretty handy. You can then use the name or part # to find the figurine at the site you want to purchase it from.

I'm now officially pining for these two guitars...

Daisy Rock Blue Mermaid
Stardust Sparkle Acoustic/electric
Be sure to check out the additional images of the Stardust Sparkle. I want the pink one.

Christina -
You should check out some of the basses at daisyrock.com Very cool.

Links I mentioned

The Hypertext d20 SRD -- Actually, I think Alessia already posted a link to a sub-page of this one (the one on the gaming projection system). Still, this is a useful reference document when you just *have* to figure out how many hit points a half-dragon dual-class psion/monk should have.

Exalted Miniatures" -- a site that has a *lot* of very nice looking character miniatures. You have to sort through them a bit, but they show good pictures.

Here are some I'm thinking about for my barbarian
RR2316
RR2335
RR2669
(especially the last one)

And some for Drucie's future dwarf:
RR2063
RR2719

What thinkest thou?

XP

After much footdragging on my part I am forced to give out the XP you guys earned over the last 2 weeks. Each of you gained 2,570XP. I wouldn't be suprised if that puts anyone in the realm of a new level so keep me updated.

omigosh!

I've been reading through the GenCon events listing this afternoon and found an event that I'll be vying for tickets to attend. On Friday and Saturday afternoon, Rich Burlew from Order of the Stick will be having Q&A seminars! *POOF*

Hmmm...

Maybe we should all get UV tattoos of our names in elvish. Would that make us geeks?

Hey! Bet you guys didn't know Malikar was in a band.

This and That

Ok, we start 'em out young on DnD :D

Also, here's a link to Paizo's critter collections. They're cheap, painted monster minis. I knew I signed up for that Paizo newsletter for a reason :D

Quote of the day (Cinco de Mayo)

"There are two ways of spreading light - to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it."

-Edith Wharton

Anybody wanna play a blog game.

Sometimes I get bored at work. I know, it's hard to believe, but it does happen. In an effort to entertain myself, I have started a dialogue of sorts with my mortar board. I thought it might be fun to try this on the blog.
Here's how it works:
  1. I randomly select and post a cheesy inspirational quote from my calendar.

  2. We all post smartass responses to said quote in the comments section.

Anybody interested?
OK. I'll try posting a couple to see if it catches on.

The 20 sided, what the hell is it thing

While I'm thinking about it, and don't ask me why I was thinking about it, we should have Fellhammer look at that 20 sided die thing that Malikar has been carrying around forever. Maybe, since he has that helmet thing, he might know what the symbols are. Just a thought.

Wow. This is definitely worth a look.

Thanks!

Just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to all of you for sending flowers to Teresa's funeral this past weekend. We truly appreciate your thoughts and support during this time. Your gesture really touched us and our family.

Since I'm horrible about talking, let alone writing or blogging, about things like this, I'll pass you along to our sister-in-law, Jackie's blog about Teresa.

Thanks,
Kris and Christina

dinner this Saturday

The D.L. and I will do dinner this week. We were thinking either the Thai place near us or South Street Smokehouse. Any preferences?

Ok, I'll be wearing this to DnD Sometime

I must buy this t-shirt!
