Very Google-y Linkies

This week is fun with Google.com!

Try googling the following phrases and clicking the "I Feel Lucky" button:
  • Bork Bork
  • Klingon
  • Elmer Fudd
  • Pig Latin
  • Hacker
  • French Military Victories

Since we've discussed language barriers around the US, see if you speak like a Yank.

Wow..maybe it was just because I grew up in a more rural area of Indiana because I was "right on the Dixie border".

I loved French Military Victories. And I liked how the changed menu buttons stayed that way when you searched for something else (like for Elmer Fudd).

I am also 38% Yankee. It said "definitely a Yankee."

By the way, do they really have DRIVE-THRU liquor stores???

Yes, there really are drive-thru liquor stores. They have them in Ohio. The ones I've seen look like big red barns and you drive right through the middle of them. It's kind of weird.

I'm 44% Yankee. How can I be more Yankee than somene who grew in upstate NY? But it also said "Barely in the Yankee category" which sounds like less of a Yank.

Apropos drive through liquor stores: I have it on good authority that there used to be drive-UP/take-out daiquiri bars in New Orleans, complete with refillable cups (like starbucks, but better). I think they may have had to ban them in order to continue receiving federal highway dollars, but I don't know for sure.
