Oh, Shiny Object, Must Buy!

After our anniversary dinner at Keystone last night, Fell and I headed to the Fashion Mall. Keystone is just dangerously close to the Game Preserve. Much to my glee, the rpg section has been beefed up a bit. As a combined anniversary gift, we picked up a copy of the World's Largest Dungeon. 840 page adventure book (840 pages!!!), 1,600 encounters with every monster in the Monster Manual and some that are created for the campaign, 15 adventures, 8 huge poster sized maps which can take a party from level 1 to 20+. So, yeah, we have plenty of adventures bought up now for a campaign...or two...or three :)

Mr Postman

Our True Dungeon tokens came in the mail today. Haven't opened them since Kris put them well out of my line of sight and reach on top of the kitchen cabinets -lol! We'll be sure to bring all seven bags on Friday for group looting :)

new software

The new software for Etools cost $35.00, so that is $8.75 per couple. The D.L. and I are taking cash and check, but not credit card or pay pal - sorry! The D.L. is looking into the problem with the one component, so we should have that taken care of soon.

New lyrics

To the tune of "King of Pain" by the Police (inspired by our son's rediscovery of an annoying habit):

There's a little wet spot on on my shorts today,
It's a brand new spot since yesterday,
There's some pee on my socks, and on my top,
When you take of my diaper the pee won't stop!

When that cool air hits me I just have to pee
While my folks run in circles trying to stop me
I guess I'm just hoping that they'll finally see
That it's my destiny to be the king of pee!

REFRAIN
There's a little wet spot on on my shorts today,
(That's my pee on there)

etc. etc. etc.

Repeat ad nauseum.

All quiet today, so here's the AT blog I mentioned

Here's the link to the blog of the woman running the Appalachian Trail. I think it might be fun to skim for anyone interested in the trail, even if you're not into reading about ultrarunning (some of the descriptions of self-inflicted over-use injuries are a bit ookie). In particular, it has some very nice pictures of spring in the woods.

Saturday Sustenance

Does anyone have a preference for lunch/dinner tomorrow? Although our house is in the middle of nowhere, most types of restaurants can be found within a 10 minute drive (except for Olive Garden). Sit down restaurants with take out, sandwich places, local Mom and Pop places in Whitestown, just about everything. If you'd like, we could even make a meal or two at our house. Just don't expect me to make grilled chicken; I tried that this week and made more a blackened chicken jerky. Bandit did seem to like it though... :-D

Pre-Game Day Dog Date

Hello Everybody,

The Dwarf and I were thinking it might be a good idea to get the dogs together (re: tire them out) at the Eagle Creek dog park before we bring them to invade Fellhammer and Allesia's lovely abode. I'm picking the Dwarf up from the airport a little after 9am on Saturday so we could be to the dog park around 9:45, give or take a bit. If anyone would like to meet us early on game day that would be coooool. Don't forget to bring all your immunization stuff.

D.L.

Odd coincidence

On a whim I tried googling "deathboy" - this was a nom de guerre I used back when I was playing a lot of LAN games (Marathon especially) in grad school. Turns out that there's a band with the same name that I did not know about (honest) but I suspect I'd like their music). But given that I'm now using the name on a DND-oriented blog, the coincidence is slightly more bizarre. Check out Deathboy and click on the "The Band" link in the left-hand column...

dinner on Friday

Wolfie and Kaironen are getting dinner tomorrow from Parthenon in West Lafayette. Post your orders!

'nother amusing site

Ok, so I found another amusing website to peruse. Shizzy's Mailbag which dupes folks through email - much hilarity ensues. The particular thread that's linked above has Shizzy posing as the CEO of Starbucks emailing a new HR hire. Enjoy!!

For all you big eaters out there...

I just came across the web page of the International Federation of Competetive Eating (in an email from a triathlon club, no less). I don't know if it qualifies as a sport, but it sure seems to require some kind of amazing physical abilities... Check out the prodigous quantities these people scarf down (65 boiled eggs?!?!?!? 11 pounds(!) of Cheesecake!?!?!?!?!
