No it's not. They lightly butter the roll. Honestly, you'd probably never know it. It says right on the menu "Our Butterburgers are not mixed with butter nor is our fresh- never frozen- grade A ground chuck fried in butter- or any oil for that matter..." or something like that. Their burgers are excellent but the butter has nothing to do with it. Just a catchy name basically.

We'd like
a single butterburger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, and extra pickles.
a bacon butterburger deluxe with ALL the toppings - meaning all it usually comes with plus everything else (wonder who that's for?)
a family order of fries
a large strawberry malt
a regular chocolate shake
FYI: flavor of the day is "almond Hooray" - vanilla custard, sliced almonds, coconut, and novelty chocolate
Thanks for going there!!

Ok, so I have to know. Is a butterburger literally a hamburger with butter???
